Notes on your AutoDesk Inventor Homework:
Mr Griffin will help students with the printing of their part drawing at 8:30 on Tuesday before class.
Use the hand-drawn part you made in class and turn it into an AutoDesk Inventor print.
First, open up a New File and choose a Part or .ipt file.
It will go easier for you when you open a New File, you choose the "ENGLISH" tab.
When creating the part, convert all dimensions to the nearest 1/4 (0.250) inch.
Save your file.

After your 3D part is created you are ready to turn it into a Drawing.
Click on the NEW File button in the top left of your screen.
Choose a Drawing or .idw file.
Expand the DRAWING RESOURCES and SHEET FORMATS tabs on the Left Side of your screen.
Double Click on "A Size - Landscape" to choose your paper-size.
It will probably automatically choose your part file as the BASE.
If you need to, click on Base, and then search for the location of your part.
Once your Base is chosen you will click on "PROJECTED".
Then, move the Curser out from the BASE and click the part-views you would like.
When you have the Part-Views you want (FRONT, TOP, SIDE), LEFT-click and CREATE.
Choose ANNOTATE and DIMENSION your drawing
